If you’ve been following PishPosh Baby for a while, you might remember by now that September is baby safety month.
There’s a lot included in baby safety - bath safety, mealtime safety, babyproofing your home, and more. Today, let’s talk about bath safety! Bathtime can be so much fun. It’s a space for your little one to get creative, splash around a little, and just relax and have a good time. Here are some tips to keep bath time safe, yet exciting!
Before starting the bath, make sure the room is warm, so that as soon as baby is taken out of the tub, you can wrap them snugly in a towel. Also, don’t forget to take along a towel before bathtime. It goes without saying that the children should never be left unattended in the bath, even for a second. Little ones need to be supervised the entire time they’re in the bath - but seriously supervised, not just out of the corner of an eye. And once the bath is finished, be sure to let the water out immediately, and close the bathroom door shut behind you when you leave the room. We parents all know that little children can be excellent climbers, so keeping the bathroom door closed at all times is definitely a good game plan to follow.
