Vista vs Mixx
I’ve had the privilege of testing out some pretty amazing strollers lately. Two of our top-selling brands are UPPAbaby and Nuna. I am here to give you a side-by-side comparison of the 2015 UPPAbaby Vista vs Nuna Mixx. These two full-sized strollers have a lot of similarities.
The main difference is that the Vista has the capability to eventually become a double or even triple stroller (with the additional purchase of the RumbleSeat and the PiggyBack!) Also, the Vista includes a luxurious infant bassinet that is approved for overnight sleeping. Both strollers work seamlessly with their coordinating infant car seats, the UPPAbaby Mesa and Nuna Pipa.
Mixx vs Vista Rear-Facing
For the purpose of this comparison – let’s think of the Vista and the Mixx both as full-sized single strollers. The technical specs… The Vista and the Mixx both feature a whopping 50 pound weight capacity. At nearly 28 pounds, the Vista is slightly heavier than the 25 pound Mixx. Based on all of the dimensions, the Vista is simply a larger stroller overall. The storage baskets on each stroller are huge and very easy to access. The Mixx and the Vista also have similar all-terrain tires with suspension technology for a smooth ride.
Vista vs Mixx Seats
Both strollers have reversible seats that FULLY recline when facing the parent or facing the world, however the Mixx seat has a true-flat recline, which means that just the backrest reclines making it compatible for newborns. The Vista's entire seat tilts, remaining in a L shape.
The Nuna Mixx canopy is the winner for me simply because of the breathable mesh windows on the sides. However, both strollers feature LARGE extendable canopies with silent, magnetic peek-a-boo windows on top. There is a little bit more head room for your toddler on the Vista seat, but more leg room on the Mixx. Overall both strollers feature comfortable, roomy seats to fit toddlers of any age!
Vista vs Mixx Folded
As you can see, if you ignore the Vista’s bassinet and multiples ability, these two strollers are very similar! The deciding factor between these two awesome strollers is usually the Vista bassinet, and the Vista’s ability to grow with your family.
My favorite features of the Mixx are the easy, one-piece fold facing either way, the curb-pop ability and the trolley feature for traveling. When folded, the Mixx locks on its own and you can pull it behind you like luggage. My least favorite Mixx features are the slightly more complicated 5-point harness, and the fabric is so plush it can sometimes seem wrinkled or squished.
Mixx vs Vista Side-View
My least favorite feature of the Vista are the brake and the fact that when the seat is rear-facing, the fold is less compact. When folded, the Vista also locks automatically and stands on its own. My favorite feature of the Vista is the plush bassinet for your newborn. UPPAbaby has really improved their buckle/harness system for the 2015 products and it is SO easy to use!
