Back in 2004, in San Diego, CA, Emily Reichardt encouraged her husband Matthew to find a "real job". He dreamed of creating a company. Coming from the closeout business, he wanted to create an environment that would not only give people a product they want, but to also give satisfaction to him and his employees.
It was shortly after Emily and Matthew's Ella had been born. Emily was looking for baby gear with excellent functionality and quality combined with style. Both Emily and Matthew came to notice that at the time there was a chasm between the products in the American market versus the product available in Europe. The idea started to form...
Matthew met Mike, straight out of design school, and brought him on board. Together they contacted manufacturers and worked on a product design. They stuck with the original vision of products with premium materials and practicality while maintaining a fresh sense of fashion. They then took their first product to a trade-show in Texas to gauge the response. They met success and Bumbleride was launched.
Today, Bumbleride manufactures strollers for every kind of mobility need, along with full lines of accessories. In addition to being durable and user-friendly, Bumbleride's products' exteriors are made from recycled materials and the interiors are made from natural materials. This reassures a parent that not only is their baby safe, but they are helping to promote and supporting environmentally responsible product manufacturing.
