Are you looking for a new lightweight stroller to take with you on all your family adventures? Well, you don’t have to spend your time searching. We’ve rounded up our most popular lightweight strollers that are available for 2023, to make your baby gear shopping experience easy. These strollers offer the convenience of a lightweight stroller, plus some great practical features!
Joolz Aer+
Weighing in at 13.4 pounds, the Joolz Aer+ stroller is the most lightweight of them all! We love the look of this lightweight stroller - it’s so cute and chic, with a sleek leatherette handlebar for that final touch. This stroller features an extra tall seat, so that it can fit your child for longer.
Another plus is that the seat is actually also extra wide, spacious enough to keep your child super comfortable even during the toddler stage. The canopy is actually pretty cool - part of it is a breathable mesh that you can see through, and keep an eye on your baby!
Check out the pocket on the back of this stroller - it’s perfect for storing a phone, some spare diapers for your baby, or even your keys. The fabric on this stroller is washable, so it’s easy to care for, and the front wheels can be switched between swivel and fixed. The Joolz Aer+ travel stroller is super lightweight, easy to fold and it can even fit in the overhead of most airplanes!
Pros
- Easy one-step fold
- So lightweight
- Easy push
- Sustainable fabrics
- On-trend design
- Storage pocket on back of seat
Cons
- Very small wheels (may not perform as well on rough surfaces)
- Very shallow seat (very important to keep child buckled in always)
- Zippered recline that's hard to adjust while the child is in the stroller
UppaBaby Minu V2
The UppaBaby Minu V2 is an exclusive, compact stroller that is great for travel. It’s the second to lightest stroller of the bunch, at just 14.5 pounds! All-wheel suspension, a roomy seat, and a massive storage basket at the bottom are just some of the awesome features on this UppaBaby stroller!
We love that this stroller can stand while folded - this makes it easier to store! Aside from the large basket underneath the stroller that can hold up to 20 pounds, there’s also a slim pocket in the back that’s easily reachable while you’re pushing the stroller.
You’ll want to keep in mind that this stroller can only be used starting from when your baby is old enough to sit on their own - unless you get the add-on bassinet! This bassinet is really cool - it can even fold with the stroller. Or, you can pair the Minu with the Mesa car seat for an awesome travel system!
Pros
- So lightweight (14.8 lbs)
- One-hand, one-step, self-standing fold
- Optional birth kit (sold separately)
- Car seat compatible with UppaBaby car seats
Cons
- Fabric might seem a bit flimsy compared to other strollers (though we haven’t found it to be a problem at all)
- Non-adjustable handlebar
Nuna TRVL
The Nuna TRVL (pronounced travel) is Nuna's lightweight stroller. This stroller has the coolest fold we’ve ever seen! When you press the fold button, the stroller automatically collapses in a snap with just one hand into a folded position. The leatherette bumper bar doubles as an adapter, so you can easily use it with the TRVL.
One thing we love about the TRVL is that it has this really cool ventilation panel in the back of the stroller, with a cover that you can unzip and roll up, to let your baby enjoy the breeze. It's also a little wider than other strollers, at 13 inches wide, giving your toddler a tad more space.
Other features unique to the TRVL include a no-rethread harness, a one-hand fold, and a Magnetech Secure Snap buckle for easy open & close. This stroller is designed to fit in the overhead of most large planes. Nuna’s lightweight travel stroller is a top choice for travelers and urban parents!
Pros
- Easiest fold ever
- Compact enough for city life
- Works with PIPA car seats without any adapters
- Sleek
Cons
- No compatible bassinet
- No shoulder strap for carrying
Cybex Beezy 2
The Cybex Beezy 2 is a really lightweight stroller that weighs 18.1 pounds. It’s an extremely sturdy stroller, with four wheel suspension, and boasts strong, tough wheels. The Cybex Beezy has a nice, easy push, a smooth ride, and a one-handed, one-step, self-standing fold. Since it folds so fast, it's a great choice if you're constantly in and out of the car.
The Beezy goes over curbs really nicely. It’s not flimsy at all – it’s a bit stronger than the Joolz Aer, although some prefer the look of the Joolz over this stroller.
This stroller comes with a UV 50+ sun canopy, adjustable leg support, and a multi-position near flat recline. This is a great lightweight stroller that you can take along on all your family adventures!
Pros
- Great push
- Easy fold
- Very comfortable seat
Cons
- Non-adjustable handlebar
- Shoulder straps can be hard to adjust
Bugaboo Butterfly Stroller
This is the perfect Bugaboo lightweight stroller, weighing just 16.1 pounds! This is very possibly the most popular lightweight stroller from them all right now, and we're expecting it to be a huge seller for spring/summer season coming right up.
With a nice sized near-flat recline and an integrated 5-position legrest to keep your baby comfortable, and a large underseat basket that can hold nearly 20 pounds, if you’re looking for a Bugaboo travel stroller, the Butterfly is the way to go!
The Bugaboo Butterfly is an ultra compact stroller, and folds up easily and really small, with just one hand. All-wheel suspension makes this a strong stroller, suitable for use over bumpy or uneven terrains. All this is why the Bugaboo Butterfly is an awesome travel stroller to take with you on all your adventures!
Pros
- Lots of adjustable features
- Storage basket can really hold a lot
- Very small fold
- Easy recline
Cons
- Brake is not flip-flop friendly
- Less lightweight than some of the other options here
- Very small wheels (may not perform as well on rough surfaces)
Babyzen Yoyo Stroller
The Babyzen Yoyo stroller is another great lightweight stroller, and this one’s super light - it weighs just 13.6 pounds! It’s one of those wildly well-known baby gear products customers are always asking us for. This stroller can be used from newborn with the newborn kit.
The Babyzen Yoyo folds very small, although it's not as easy to fold, and it has a really nice recline that works with a strap. Without the newborn kit, the stroller can be used for ages 6 months and up. The leatherette handlebar adds a sleek touch to this stroller, and makes it even more comfortable to push.
There’s a small peek-a-boo window on the canopy so that you can check on your baby while he sleeps. The large basket underneath is easy to access. This stroller is extremely easy to maneuver, with a super easy push, and is small and compact (that's why it's so popular for people traveling), just how you want your lightweight stroller to be!
Pros
- Great push
- Strong brake system
- Can be folded with Babyzen footmuff still on
- Very useful storage pocket in back of seat
Cons
- Non-adjustable handlebar
- Bumper bar sold separately
- Two-hand, two-step fold
Mountain Buggy Nano V3 Stroller
The Mountain Buggy Nano weighs under 13 pounds, so it's the perfect travel stroller. It comes with a travel satchel, and can fit in overhead luggage compartments. This stroller features a full recline, and a lie flat mode that's great for newborns.
Pros
- Very lightweight
- Small fold
- Affordable
Cons
- No bassinet
- Not the easiest fold
- Small canopy without peekaboo window
Silver Cross Jet Stroller
At just 13 pounds, the Silver Cross Jet stroller is another great choice! This stroller is not just lightweight - its also comfortable, and so sleek. The leatherette handlebar and belly bar adds an extra touch of sophisticated detail. Like the Minu V2, this stroller features a belly bar.
Pros
- Fully flat recline for newborns
- Small fold
Cons
- Two-handed fold
- Small storage basket that’s hard to get to
