The Magellan car seats are being released in April 2018 and we are sure that they will quickly become the most popular choice for parents of growing little ones. There are two versions - the Magellan and Magellan MAX. The Magellan car seats can be used from as little as 5 lbs and can hold up to 120! They are the only car seats with Adjustable Side Protection, with unmatched range for a customized and secure fit. The 7 position radial recline and 14 position headrest (with Air Protect SIP) means a comfortable ride for your little one as they grow. When they are ready for booster mode, the harness hides away in the back and you can use it in booster mode up to 120 lbs. You can use the car seat belt or the one-click LATCH connectors to install your car seat. Integrated and intuitive belt lock-off design automatically secures seat in place for a secure installation. The 2 removable cup holders are dishwasher safe for an easy clean. Like most Maxi Cosi car seats, the premium covees are machine-washable and dryer safe. How does the Maxi Cosi Magellan compare to the Magellan MAX? The Magellan MAX is an upgrade on the classic Magellan version (costs $50 more) because of the Clip Quik Magnetic chest clip, which makes buckling the child easy for parents but hard for the little ones.
