A Pain in the Neck
“Ol’ McDonald had a farm… E-I-E-I-O…” It’s great when the kids are happily singing in the back of the car.
“Are we there yet?” That’s to be translated as, “I’ve got no more patience for this drive.”
“Mommy! She’s making faces at me! Daddy! He’s hitting me!” Now we know we are in trouble…
And then come the peaceful sounds of deep breathing. Ahh… They’ve fallen asleep.
Then I glance back to see their angelic faces, and see them all slumped over with their heads in all sorts of odd positions. I start thinking about the “c-spine” curve on their necks. I know this can’t be good for them. I also know that when they wake up their going to be cranky and a sore neck will not help matters. Well, what if I could get around that?
I most certainly can! I’ve invested in neck pillows. It’s funny. The first time I heard about them I thought it was a ridiculous idea that only really had a place on an airline flight. Now I know that they're very practical and fun.
I love the BenBat travel pillows. They’re cute and friendly. They also come with matching seat belt covers so that the kids not only look cute but get to see their fuzzy friends too!
Check them out and let me know what you think of them. Also, I’d love to hear more ideas on how to keep the kids entertained on long drives.
