I guess I was under the wrong impression when I ordered this mat, I thought it would provide more padding for my hardwood floors, but it does really offer anything. But it is a good size.

These foam floor tiles were as-expected. We got them during the cyber Monday sale which made the cost a bit more palatable. They’re easy to assemble (and reassemble) - the hardest part was deciding on a pattern. We installed them over a hard wood floor to convert a bedroom into a playroom with a home office in the corner. It’s still a work-in-progress and the home office is not shown in the included picture. The softer color pallet we felt was appropriate for a room that will be serve a dual playroom/office purpose.
Note that making an inside corner requires trimming an edge piece, which is easy to do with a utility knife. The boxes come with more edge pieces than is required so they don’t limit the design options. We found that because the tiles are pretty soft/cushy, they’re not suitable for supporting permanent or heavy items such as toy storage, furniture, or a play kitchen. Toys such as a rocking horse, kids’ trampoline, or a play table could be used on the mat without issue. The pictures show how we assembled the floor around the toy storage and left an open spot against the far wall where a play kitchen will eventually go.
