Earn Updating Prior Review after 8 months of use
We've now had this crib for 8 months and still like it. I want to point out that the waterproof sheet I mentioned that was "loose" and not snug around the mattress has shrunk with use! It now fits snug. Additionally, what i didnt realize when i first got the crib is that the waterproof sheet is a baselayer -- you're supposed to use it with one of the Kimi baby bed sheets. I didnt realize it because Pish Posh only sells the waterproof layer sheet, so unless they now also sell the Kimi crib sheet you'll have to get them elsewhere or from the manufacturer website directly. The mattress also sits more flush now along the base of the crib, but the two polar ends remain slightly more elevated because of the cords that tie above the base board and underneath the mattress. This doesn't bother us, esp. as my daughter is almost a toddler now. Another thing I forgot to mention in my last review is that the mattress comes with a separate "thin" layer which I guess maybe is what they mean by there is a softer side to the mattress? If you place the thin layer on top of the mattress (underneath the crib sheet) I guess it is slightly softer but it's not very cushy. Overall we still really like the crib but because of the low height, we only use it so long as my daughter is wearing a sleepsack because otherwise she can very easily climb out. Pay close attention to the measurements of the crib to make sure this will work for you.
