I have used this for both of my kids and found that nothing works better. We started with the typical bulb suction, but once I thought about how you can't clean it, we moved to this and never looked back. Once you get out of your own head and stop thinking about how you're literally sucking snot and boogers out of another human, you'll learn to love this thing. It's so easy to clean, there aren't too many parts, and there's a spongy barrier that pulls air through but keeps the yucky stuff out.

I have NEVER had an incident where anything has gotten through to me. Even during a desperate nose-sucking operation that resulted in not using a filter because I hadn't realized my son had used all the replacements as toy dinosaur food. Even without the filter, nothing came through.

My mother is disgusted by it and refuses to video chat with us if there's a potential nose-sucking happening, and has even purchased fancier electric sucking devises, but nothing works better than a tube and a good pair of lungs.

Will continue using and recommending to all new parents.
