Q: How long can I use the bassinet?
A: Many experts suggest a baby can sleep in a bassinet up until four to five months of age. Much will depend on how fast your newborn grows. Stop using this product when your baby begins to push up on hands and knees or has reached 20 pounds, whichever comes first.
Q: What testing and safety guidelines does Juno follow?
A: The Juno bassinet is certified to meet or exceed all mandatory safety standards by the Consumer Product Safety Council (CPSC). The bassinet has also received the prestigious certification from the Juvenile Product Manufacturer Association (JPMA), making us one of the few bassinets in the world with this certification.
Q: What is the Juno Bassinet made out of?
A: The Juno Bassinet is made entirely of sustainably sourced (SFI) corrugated paperboard. The mattress by Bundle of Dreams consists of two parts. The removable zippered sheet is made of certified organic cotton and the Bundle Fiber™ foam on the inside is made of specially woven polyester for comfort and breathability. All components are made of simple, recyclable materials.
Q: How sturdy is the bassinet?
A: The bassinet has been engineered and tested to easily exceed the required standards established by the CPSC. As with all bassinets, it's time to stop using this when your baby begins to push up on hands and knees or has reached 20 pounds, whichever comes first.
Q: What position should my baby sleep in?
A: Many medical experts recommend that infants should always sleep on their back to reduce the risk of SIDS. For more information, download a copy of the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development's "Infant Sleep and SIDS" here
Q: Does it matter which side of the mattress my baby sleeps on?
A: Nope, both sides work equally the same. For the safety of the baby please use the provided organic cotton zippered bassinet sheet and mattress. Tuck the mandatory labels so they are underneath the mattress. Never substitute any sheet or sleeping surface other than what is included with your Juno bassinet.
Q: Does it matter which way I fold the tabs of the sleeping platform?
A: The tabs should be folded in the downward position with the side of the sleeping platform marked as “Top side” facing up. Detailed directions are included on the bassinet travel box.
Q: How do I set up the bassinet?
A: It’s as easy as 1-2-3! Simply “pop it up” by pulling outward from the sides, insert the sleeping platform, and lay down the mattress. That's it!
Q: Where can I use the bassinet?
A: The bassinet is designed to go wherever you need it to go around your home or on a trip. Please use it indoors on a flat, even surface in an area without high humidity.
Q: How do I clean my bassinet frame?
A: To clean the frame and sleeping platform, use a damp cloth and gently wipe off the affected area. Towel dry immediately and completely before re-use or storage. Never submerge or soak the frame or sleeping platform as this can cause damage and put your child at risk.
Q: How do I clean the mattress?
A: Use a damp cloth, gently wipe and dry the affected area or remove the zippered, organic cotton sheet and machine wash cold. Tumble dry low. Do not bleach or dry clean. We recommend always checking that both the bassinet and pad are clean and dry by removing any part necessary.
Q: How do I clean my organic cotton zippered sheet?
A: We recommend machine wash cold. Tumble dry low. Do not bleach or dry clean. You can also choose to spot clean the area with soap and a damp cloth, dry completely.
Q: Do you offer fitted sheets?
A: The zippered, organic cotton sheet acts as both cover and fitted sheet. It is water repellent, machine washable, and the ability to fully zip the Bundle Fibre™ foam inside means it's safer too. For your convenience, we offer extra organic cotton zippered sheets.
Q: Is the bassinet and mattress recyclable?
A: Yes. The paperboard frame is completely recyclable. You can actually put it into your recycling bin. In most cases, the mattress can also be recycled. Just toss the Bundle Fiber™ foam in the recycling bin and check with your local waste management to determine the correct way to recycle fabric.
Q: What do I do with the bassinet and mattress after I am done with it?
A: The bassinet has been engineered to be durable and to outlast the life of your baby’s use. If well cared for according to our guidelines, we feel confident that you can save it for your next child or share it with a neighbor, family, or friend.
