Charlie Crane Kimi Baby Bed & Organic Mattress

There are very very few reviews anywhere about this product, so figured I should leave one for anyone considering this. I wanted a mesh crib for my baby and unfortunately there appear to only be two options on the market; this was the nicer of the two. This ships from France and I received it in New York a little over one week after I placed my order. The instructions for assembly leave a lot to be desired, but it's not too difficult to put together though we had to consult the assembly video online a few times. Since the mesh is white it makes baby's sleep space noticeably brighter; if you don't use a night light for baby perhaps it won't make much of a difference but with a nightlight her sleep space was definitely brighter with this crib. The description for the organic mattress indicates that it has a firmer side for babies and a softer side for toddlers, but the sides were not marked and both sides felt similarly. I emailed Charlie Crane directly to inquire and they responded that both sides are similar. So, the mattress does not appear the softer and firmer side as advertised. Again, for us not a big deal but something to keep in mind. The biggest thing that we didn't pay enough attention to is the height. This crib is not very tall @ all. My baby is 29" and if she stands in the crib the top wood bar of the crib hits her at mid-chest.
