After buying the Nuna Pipa for our first child in 2017, we knew we wanted to stay with the Pipa for our twins. I was disappointed to find no major improvements from the older model. Honestly can't say what is new or improved. However, the Nuna Pipa car seat is probably the safest on the market with its "load leg" and latch installation system and so we don't regret purchasing these for our twins. What I would suggest to anyone car seat shopping, would be to compare this one with the Pipa Lite to see if the Lite has the following features: magnetic closure for the peekaboo window, and slots for the buckles to be held back (the Nuna RAVA toddler car seat has slots for the buckles and they are the best!). I didn't even check to see if these features would be included in this model of the Nuna Pipa because I assumed they would be. However, if you aren't able to shell out an extra $100+ for the Nuna Lite, I would still recommend this Nuna Pipa over any other car seat on the market for how comfy it is for the little ones (all my children have thus far loved it), but more importantly for the added safety features of the load leg and latch installation.
Oh, and an added bonus? This car seat is "preemie safe," meaning it will safely carry babies starting at 4 pounds.
